Who can come to Mardi Gras?
Anyone who wants to enjoy a night out with our Holy Spirit Community - this is a great opportunity to meet other school parents, teachers, parish leaders + parish members. Feel free to invite friends, family, parishioners. Please note that this is an ADULTS ONLY evening.
Where is it held? What time do I need to be there?
This will our third year hosting Mardi Gras at Van Abel's of Hollandtown. Doors open at 5:00pm - come early, as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Dinner is included with your admission ticket. Cash bar is available.
What do I need to bring? How do I pay? Do I need cash or a checkbook?
Just bring yourself! We will encourage you at check-in to put a credit card on your account/bidder number so that you don't have to wait for checkout at the end of the night. You will be e-mailed a receipt once your card is charged.
Raffle tickets, silent auction items, etc. are all paid for with the use of your bidder number. Cash bar is available (both cash + cards are accepted).
What should I wear?
This is one of the most common questions we receive and all we can say is anything goes! Jeans, button down shirts, sweaters, skirts, dresses or gowns! There is always a little bit of everything at our event. We will say that most people use it as a night to get dressed up! Wear something you feel comfortable and confident in!
Where does the money raised go?
Right back into the school! Mardi Gras is part of the annual budget which assists in covering the gap between tuition, parish subsidy and expenses. Our goal with Mardi Gras is to continue to advance our school and continue to increase teacher salaries.
